Description: The planimetric dataset includes 10 different map layers digitized directly from York County's orthophotography. The road centerline represents the line running down the center of the road right of way. The layer was originally digitized as center of pavement from the 1:1200 scale mylar orthophotography flown in February 1990. Original digitizing took place between 10/92 and 12/94, as part of the planimetric digitizing project. Updates were made by digitizing from subdivision plats put to record after November 1993, and is updated each time a plat with a new road goes to record. The location of the road centerlines are checked and adjusted against the digital orthophotography as part of the County's biannual update of planimetrics.
